We’re the UK’s first and only dedicated egg bank, with the largest number of egg freezing cycles in the country. We encourage egg donation in the UK to help people from all walks of life build a family of their own.
Our innovative Freeze and Share programme gives you an opportunity to freeze your eggs for free and at the same time give another family the chance to have the baby they are longing for.
By taking part in our Freeze and Share programme, you’ll receive an egg freezing cycle plus two years' storage free of charge. In exchange, you'll donate half the eggs collected from your treatment to London Egg Bank.
Are you not yet ready to start your own family, but wish to keep your options open for the future? Have you already considered donating your eggs for another family, but not about preserving your own fertility options at the same time? Are you concerned that you can’t afford to freeze your eggs? Freeze and Share could be the answer you’re looking for.
Freeze & Share lets you freeze your eggs for free, in exchange for donating half the eggs collected to a family who needs donor eggs to have their own baby. Donating half your eggs is a generous gift with the potential to change many lives for the better.
Egg donors need to meet the following criteria set out by the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) and London Egg Bank:

By taking part in our Freeze and Share programme, you’ll receive one egg freezing cycle plus two years’ storage free of charge.
In exchange, you’ll donate half the eggs collected from your treatment to London Egg Bank. These eggs will be used to help the fertility treatment of other couples, which wouldn’t be possible without your generous help.
To be involved in our Freeze and Share programme, there is a small initial cost to you of £160, which covers an initial hormone blood check.
The Freeze and Share Process
You’ll be invited to the clinic for a fertility assessment with one of our consultants. This involves a blood test for AMH and a doctor consultation to review your result. This will help assess your current fertility health and your suitability.
If suitable, an initial consultation with our egg freezing coordinator will be offered, who will explain the regulations of egg donation in the UK, how it works, and review your medical information.
After being accepted to the programme, your coordinator will talk you through a number of consent forms, go through the medication that you’ll need for the cycle and arrange for our counsellor to make sure you fully understand the implications of the programme.
From the start of your cycle, our egg donation team will guide you through the process and arrange scan appointments to monitor your response to the stimulation medication you’ll have over a span of two weeks. During this time, you'll need approximately 3- 4 scans to monitor progress and adjust your medication if needed.
Once scans show that you’re ready, we’ll collect your eggs in a safe and painless procedure that takes about 30 minutes. You should be fine to return home after an hour and get back to your normal life. We always suggest you have someone with you to accompany you home.
Mature eggs will be frozen by our skilled embryologists and half of them will be stored for your future use in our secure facilities. You’ll have a follow-up consultation with your doctor to discuss the outcomes of your cycle.
"I am really happy I decided to do a donation with London Egg Bank (first of all, I am happy that I get to help families) the team of doctors and nurses and handlers were so nice and helpful. If you have any questions or concerns they are there to answer and help you through the process. I will definitely donate again!"
"Everything was amazing, I got to know the staff quite well and was able to potentially help a lot of families! I appreciate everyone's energy there, the nurses, doctors, receptionists and my recruiter were all so amazing and kind and I felt so comfortable every step of the way! I couldn't have had a better experience. Will be going back to such an incredible company in the future."
